Technology Planning

Technology Planning is a strategic consulting engagement delivered to firms that want to develop an objective and detailed understanding of the current state of technology applicability and adoptability in their organization.

Cultura Systems brings technology specialists to planning engagements to help clients arrive at a stake in the ground and go forward options for a given technology question. The internal discovery, analysis and response process includes:

  • Project Scoping - assess goals, identify value propositions and assumptions, identify stake holders and audiences and define project strategy.
  • Investigate Organizational Readiness - assess potential communication, cultural and organizational factors that may influence the question; estimate impact on stakeholders; define success.
  • Examine Infrastructure Implications - investigate the current state of relevant infrastructure components - network architecture, bandwidth, security, existing outsourcing or other core technology questions that may have impact on goals or the project overall.
  • Research and Identify Options - review all noteworthy solution sources, alternatives and adjacent considerations.
  • Deliver Formal Project Summary and Recommendations based on original scoping and goals, summarize preferred options, show cost implications, provide specific recommendations, options and corresponding project plans.

As a team of communication technology specialists, Cultura Systems brings experience and third party objectivity to pure Technology Planning engagements that lead to a definition of current state and forward-looking recommendations.

Should they choose to implement toward the recommendations and project plan, consulting clients may also elect to engage the technology provisioning and implementation arm of Cultura Systems. In such cases, at the client's request, Cultura Systems will apply a portion of paid consulting fees, depending on project type and scope, to project implementations.
